Public Consultations on the Draft Strategic Framework for Public Administration Reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina Held

Public consultation with the civil society on the Draft Strategic Framework for Public Administration Reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2017-2022 have been held 16 November 2017 in Banja Luka and 17 November 2017 in Sarajevo. Programme for Strengthening of Public Institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is implemented by GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Government, has provided expert advice and support to the implementation of the additional public consultations within its thematic area of Communications, Transparency and Civil Society.

The following speakers presented the new Strategic Framework and spoke about its significance: Mr Dragan Ćuzulan, Public Administration Reform Coordinator, Ms Stojanka Ćulibrk, Public Administration Reform Coordinator from Republika Srpska, Ms Ljiljana Orendi, member of the Joint Working Group for Development of the Strategic Framework from Brčko District of BiH, Ms Mirsada Jahić, Public Administration Reform Coordinator from Federation of BiH as well as Mr Mathias Mühle, GIZ Project Leader of the Programme for Strengthening of Public Institutions in BiH.

The representatives of the Public Administration Reform Coordinator's Office and the experts who worked on drafting the document presented individual reform areas as well as proposed mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation of the new strategy and the budget needed for its implementation.

Draft Strategic Framework for Public Administration Reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2017-2022 was also available to the wider audience for comments and suggestions on the web platform of the Ministry of Justice of BiH eKonsultacije (eConsultations).
